Sakal Relief Fund’s Disaster Management initiative works to bring fast and effective relief measures to regions affected by natural calamities. Our strategy encompasses preparedness, response, recovery and rehabilitation with a “back to safer” approach. We use post-disaster recovery programming to increase the resilience of buildings and communities to future threats.

Sakal Relief Fund conducts an annual risk profile and mapping of vulnerable locations in India to improve its preparedness to respond during emergencies. Long-term commitment to affected communities and the efforts made to provide them with immediate recovery aid are the main focus of our disaster management mandate in India.
